Overview

For the safety of our customers, staff and technicians, we continue to operate under a no-contact service protocol with external drop-off and pick-up. COVID outbreaks continue to occur without notice. Personal devices may pass through many hands and environments. These precautions help protect you, our staff and your equipment throughout the repair process. Thank you for your cooperation.

When you arrive in our back parking lot, call 309-757-7600 and our team will guide you through the next steps. A brief health screening may be conducted at drop-off to ensure the proper protective measures are taken.

As an extra safety precaution, please wear a mask for device/computer drop-off and pick-up.

 

How to Prepare Your Device for Service

Apple/Macintosh
Computers

 

Follow these simple steps...
  • Back up your data to the iCloud or an external drive using TimeMachine. Here's how (link)
  • Disable “Find My Mac” (Required for Apple Service) Here's how (link)
  • Remove all covers and cases. Do not bring bags, boxes, accessories or power cords. (Unless necessary for a power issue.)
  • Wipe down unit with a disinfectant wipe (such as Clorox Disinfecting wipes) or 70% Isopropyl alcohol, then dry with soft dry cloth. (Wipe the external and internal areas except for the track pad.)
  • When dropping off your computer, include the following information (on paper, such as Post-It note):  Name, your best contact phone number; and log-in credentials/passwords if issue is software or system related.

 

For iPhone, iPads and other devices

 

Follow these simple steps...
  • Back up your data to the iCloud or an Apple computer. Here's how (link)
  • Disable “Find My” (Required for Apple Service) Here's how (link)
  • Remove all covers, cases. Do not bring bags, boxes, accessories or power cords. (Unless necessary for a power issue.)
  • Wipe down device with a disinfectant wipe (such as Clorox Disinfecting wipes) or 70% Isopropyl alcohol, then dry with soft dry cloth.
  • When dropping off your device, include the following information (on paper, such as Post-It note):  Name, and your  best contact phone number.
